Exmouth
Exmouth is a seaside town with 2 miles of golden sand, dotted with rock pools and fringed by a promenade. Its lively centre bustles with shops of all kinds – focusing on the pedestrianised Magnolia Centre with its well-known high street names. There are pubs, bistros, bars and a cinema – and this central area is renowned for its floral displays during the summer months.
The town has all the amenities – including schools, a hospital, a health centre, doctors’ surgeries, a police station, a sports centre and swimming pools. It has a station and its own 25-minute rail link to Exeter and the mainline system. A frequent bus service connects with surrounding villages and towns and on to the city. Exeter is just 10 miles away along the A376 – which also give access to the M5 at junction 30, and the A303. Exeter International Airport is also within 10 miles.
Exmouth is twinned with Dinan in France and Langerwehe in Germany. Being a resort, it offers many activities and interests – including clubs for all types of watersports, fishing, golf, riding, walking, archery, badminton, tennis, football, rugby and cricket.
